Gourmand fragrances have edible smelling notes such as chocolate, vanilla, fruits, spices and all things patisserie. The popularity of gourmand inspired scents grew with the launch of Thierry Mugler's Angel in 1992 with its facets of cotton candy, caramel, chocolate and blackcurrant. We will make peach (a wonderful facet of Guerlain's Mitsouko) and madeleine accords (which you can turn into gingerbread!) We'll use materials such as aldehyde C14, cassis and vanilla absolutes, cinnamon and orange oils along with a whole host of other gourmand notes.
Registration for this class is below.
If you would like to sign up for all four classes at a reduced rate, please click here.
We'll get familiar with a range of materials and then spend a good part of the class experimenting with blending accords, the building blocks to creating perfume. You will be able to take home your creations.
No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. All you need to bring is a notebook and a sense of fun!
Have a look at these Resources where you'll find suggested reading and other useful bits and bobs.
